We’re looking for a Portfolio Analyst to support our Conservative, Balanced and Growth models, which together hold client assets across several thousand accounts. You’ll help decide what goes into them and make sure every account tracks its target.
You’ll join the investment team of 11 in New York, led by Director of Investment Advisory Lucas Moreau. You’ll work on fund research, rebalancing and the quarterly reports that advisors use in client reviews.
What you’ll do
- Monitor drift across client accounts and prepare rebalancing and tax-loss harvesting trades for review.
- Research and compare index funds and ETFs on cost, tracking and structure.
- Produce the quarterly performance reports and commentary for each model.
- Support the investment committee with data, scenario analysis and meeting papers.
- Answer advisor questions on holdings, performance and risk in plain English.
What we’re looking for
- 1–3 years in portfolio analysis, investment operations or research.
- Degree in finance, economics, mathematics or a related field.
- Advanced Excel skills; experience with Python or SQL for data work.
- Understanding of asset allocation, index investing and performance measurement.
- CFA Level I passed, or a plan to sit the exam within 12 months.

About the team
The investment team builds and runs the models every Corwell client portfolio uses. We prefer evidence to forecasts and rules to hunches, and we write down why we make each change. The investment committee meets monthly, and analysts present their own research to it.
“Our job is to make sure nothing interesting happens to a client’s portfolio by accident.”
