We’re hiring a Strategy Analyst for our Consumer & Retail team in London. You’ll build the analysis behind growth, pricing and portfolio decisions for food, beauty and specialty retail clients across the UK and Europe.
You’ll join a sector team of 14 inside the Strategy practice and work directly with partners from your first week. Expect to own a piece of every project — a market model, a customer survey, a store-level analysis — and to present it to the client yourself.
What you’ll do
- Build market and category models from retail panel data, company reports and client sales data.
- Design and analyze customer surveys and turn the results into clear charts and recommendations.
- Run store, product and channel profitability analyses in Excel, SQL or Python.
- Prepare and present sections of client workshops and steering committee meetings.
- Support proposals and research for our quarterly consumer outlook report.
What we’re looking for
- 1–3 years in consulting, retail strategy, category management or a similar analytical role.
- A first-class or upper second degree in a quantitative or business subject.
- Advanced Excel skills and confidence with large, messy datasets.
- Clear writing and the ability to explain numbers to non-specialists.
- Genuine curiosity about how people shop and why brands win or lose.

About the team
The Consumer & Retail team sits in our Canary Wharf office and works with brands and retailers in nine European countries. Analysts work on one project at a time, usually with a partner and a senior consultant, and rotate across clients every eight to twelve weeks.
“The best analysts don't just find the number — they find the story the number tells.”
