We’re looking for a Project Controls Engineer to manage cost forecasting, schedule updates and change control on two or three of our largest active projects in the New York region, each worth $80M to $300M.
You’ll join our commercial team of 24, led by Director of Commercial & Contracts Lucas Moreau, and work every week with project managers and superintendents. The weekly owner report starts with your numbers.
What you’ll do
- Maintain the cost-loaded schedule and update it every two weeks with the field team.
- Produce monthly cost-to-complete forecasts and explain every movement against budget.
- Track change orders, potential claims and contingency drawdown in our open-book ledger.
- Build the dashboards used in weekly owner meetings and lender draw reviews.
- Improve our controls standards and train project engineers on them.
What we’re looking for
- 4–7 years in project controls, cost engineering or scheduling for a contractor.
- Advanced Primavera P6 skills and experience with earned value.
- Strong Excel skills; Power BI or similar reporting tools a plus.
- Attention to detail and the confidence to challenge a forecast.
- Degree in engineering, construction management or finance.

About the team
Our commercial team handles contracts, cost and controls for every Corwell project. In New York we sit between the field and the boardroom: close enough to site to know what the numbers mean, and close enough to owners to explain them in plain language.
“Good controls don’t slow a project down — they tell you a week earlier where it is heading.”
