Making operations faster, safer and cheaper.
James leads Corwell’s Operations practice in London, helping logistics, energy and manufacturing companies cut cost without cutting service. His teams work on the floor, not in the boardroom, and leave behind supervisors who can keep improving without outside help.
James started his career as a production engineer and later ran a 1,400-person plant for a Japanese automotive supplier in the Midlands, where he learned lean from people who invented it. Since joining Corwell in 2011 he has led more than 90 programs, including the redesign of Brightway Logistics’ 14-warehouse network, which saved $12M in its first year.
James is a Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt and guest lectures on operations at a London business school. He cycles to the office every day and spends most weekends on the touchline of his children’s rugby matches.
