We’re looking for a VDC / BIM Coordinator to run model coordination on two or three active projects at a time — commercial towers, industrial plants and healthcare renovations — and support our sites from New York to Los Angeles.
You’ll join our VDC team of 14, led by BIM & VDC Manager Kenji Watanabe. You’ll spend most weeks in a project office or on a live site, with occasional travel, and you’ll see clashes you caught on screen turn into work that never has to be torn out.
What you’ll do
- Build and maintain the federated model from design and trade models.
- Run weekly clash detection and coordination meetings with MEP and steel trade partners.
- Produce 4D sequences and logistics models for pre-construction and site planning.
- Set up laser scanning and layout so field crews can build directly from the model.
- Train project engineers and superintendents to use models on tablets in the field.
What we’re looking for
- 3–5 years of BIM coordination for a contractor, trade partner or designer.
- Strong Revit and Navisworks skills; Autodesk Construction Cloud experience.
- Understanding of MEP systems, structural steel and construction sequencing.
- Willingness to travel to sites up to 40% of the time.
- Degree or diploma in architecture, engineering or construction technology.

About the team
Our VDC studio works from Los Angeles, New York and Chicago and supports every Corwell region. We’re architects, engineers and former trade foremen who believe a model is only useful if a crew can build from it. Each coordinator owns their projects, with a senior VDC lead to review and coach.
“Every clash we solve on screen is a day the crew doesn’t lose on site.”
