We’re looking for a Senior Estimator to price commercial, mixed-use and hospitality projects from $20M to $300M across the Northeast — from the first concept sketch to the final GMP.
You’ll join our New York preconstruction team of 18, led by EVP of Preconstruction & Estimating Olivia Bennett. You’ll own estimates end to end, sit in design meetings with architects and owners, and see the numbers you write become the buildings you drive past.
What you’ll do
- Lead conceptual, schematic and GMP estimates for commercial and mixed-use projects.
- Run quantity take-offs from BIM models and check the take-offs of junior estimators.
- Solicit, level and analyze trade bids, and keep our cost database current.
- Develop value-engineering options with designers and present them to owners.
- Hand over a clean, documented budget to the project team when we win the job.
What we’re looking for
- 8+ years estimating for a general contractor or construction manager.
- Experience pricing high-rise concrete or steel structures and curtain wall.
- Confident with Assemble, Bluebeam or similar 5D take-off tools.
- Clear writing and the ability to defend a number in front of an owner.
- Degree in construction management, engineering or quantity surveying.
