We’re hiring a Strategy Analyst to join our London consumer and retail team. You’ll build the fact base behind decisions on pricing, store portfolios, private label and new markets for retailers and consumer brands across the UK and Europe.
You’ll work in small teams with a partner and a senior consultant, and from your first month you’ll present your own analysis to client executives. We train you properly: a four-week induction, weekly case clinics and a mentor from outside your team.
What you’ll do
- Analyse sales, loyalty-card and pricing data to find where clients win and lose margin.
- Run customer surveys and expert interviews, and turn the answers into clear charts and findings.
- Build store, category and pricing models that senior colleagues and clients can rely on.
- Draft sections of board memos and present your own analysis in client working sessions.
- Keep track of the consumer and retail market and share what you learn with the practice.
What we’re looking for
- 1–3 years in consulting, banking, corporate strategy or a commercial role in retail.
- Strong Excel skills and a habit of checking your numbers twice.
- A degree with high quantitative content, such as economics, engineering or mathematics.
- Clear writing in English and the confidence to explain your analysis to senior people.
- Right to work in the United Kingdom.

About the team
Our London strategy team works mainly for retailers, grocers and consumer brands, from FTSE 250 groups to private-equity-owned challengers. Analysts work directly with partners, and most of our consultants started here as analysts.
“The best analysts I’ve worked with are the ones who go and stand in the store before they open the spreadsheet.”
